Mud Daubers!

 

After Bechtel Lake froze this month, naturalists inspected old duck houses and found organ pipe mud dauber nests. These wasps collect mud to build chambers for their larvae. They place paralyzed spiders inside the chambers to provide nutrients for the developing young.
